Smartlet was born from this tension. David began with a simple question: why choose between timeless tradition and cutting-edge technology?

What followed was not the design of another gadget, but the creation of a new category. After months of sketches, prototypes, and refinement, Smartlet came to life in Paris, a city where horological culture meets industrial elegance. The result is a modular bracelet, patented, that lets you wear a classic watch and a smartwatch on the same wrist with balance, intelligence, and style.

From idea to reality

Bringing Smartlet to life has been a long and demanding journey. From the very first sketches to a fully functional modular bracelet, every phase required precision, iteration, and care. We weren’t just building a wearable, we were developing a new way to carry both time and technology on the same wrist.

We’ve gone through multiple stages of prototyping to test proportions, mechanical integrity, and overall comfort. At each step, we asked tough questions: Is this intuitive enough? Elegant enough? Reliable enough for daily life?

To help answer them, we involved a panel of early users, watch enthusiasts, athletes, and connected lifestyle advocates, who tested Smartlet in real conditions. Their feedback played a key role in refining ergonomics, improving balance, and making sure the product felt natural on every wrist.

Beyond the technical development, we placed particular emphasis on the experience itself. Adjusting your Smartlet, assembling it, changing modules, it all had to feel smooth and satisfying. The included toolset, link system, and adapters were fine-tuned to make the setup as elegant as the design.

We have been back to the whiteboard at several stages to make sure the product would be in line with our  expectations.
