The inspiration for the creation of the Astronomer series comes from the sun, moon and stars, and the moon phase is used as a symbol to record time.
Imagine being immersed in the universe, with the moon dancing gracefully on your wrist, making every moment of your life full of charm.

We have been thinking about how to better display the natural phenomenon of the moon phase on a mechanical watch, and now we have a completely innovative moon phase mechanical solution! We broke the traditional small window-blocking moon phase design, so that the finely carved moon will show the whole process of the moon phase in nature over time.

A moon phase watch has a window on the dial that shows the different phases of the moon, as it appears in the sky at the time. The moon phase mechanical watch is an amazing and ingenious technology that has been around for hundreds of years. The moon phase and perpetual calendar, tourbillon and minute repeater are known as the “Four complex functions.” of mechanical watches.
Moon phase devices are usually associated with high-end watches and dominated by major brands. However, we have succeeded in making this technology affordable so that everyone can immerse themselves in a great moon phase display experience.

AGELOCER 29.51-day precision moon phase module

The conventional moon phase disc is driven by a 59-tooth gear, advancing one grid every 24 hours, completing a full cycle every 29.5 days, forming a 708-hour moon phase cycle. The astronomical moon phase cycle is 29.53 days (708.72 hours), and the conventional moon phase will have a one-day error in 2.7 years.
The AGELOCER moon phase watch is composed of a 31-tooth moon phase disc, driving one grid every 22.846 hours, completing a full cycle every 29.51 days, forming a 708.23-hour moon phase cycle.
The AGELOCER moon phase watch has a one-day error in 4.1 years, which is more accurate than the traditional 59-tooth moon phase.

Beautifully carved luminous moon

The protagonist of this watch is the moon, and our goal is to make the moon perform better in the watch.
So over the years, the design optimization of the moon phase has never stopped. From 3D metal printing to metal carving, whether it is matte or polished, we have tried many versions just to capture the most realistic details of the moon.
We have always retained its iconic design elements: huge, bright, super realistic, moving smoothly on the deep and unique night sky dial.

In the end, we remodeled the moon’s surface, using metal carving technology and expensive platinum plating to make the moon’s texture lifelike. To make the moon light up at night, Swiss Super-LumiNova® was used. The luminous effect can be repeated infinitely with SLN and has no age limit. This uncompromising and rigorous attitude towards craftsmanship is only to show the fascinating side of the moon’s movement, which is just one part of the watch.

A major design breakthrough, the first panoramic window dial

Before AGELOCER designed the panoramic moon phase window, the traditional moon phase was displayed in a small window. This subversive 28.5mm large moon phase window design has created a panoramic moon phase watch in the industry. In order to enable the watch to drive a large area of ​​the moon phase disk and prevent the dial from sliding due to the inertia of wrist movement when worn, the design team spent hundreds of hours on repeated testing, re-designed the anti-return structure and drive structure, thickened the toggle spring, and strengthened the power output of the turntable to fight inertia with superb research and development technology. This technology has been protected by China’s utility model patent and design patent.

Eye-catching dual-layer gradient metal dial

The dial is divided into two layers, the upper and lower layers, and the entire dial is carved with CNC diamond cutting technology.
The dial adopts a gradient color with granular metal sandblasting technology. The inlay processing accuracy of AGELOCER reaches 0.01mm, and the three-dimensional carved moon is cleverly inlaid in the dial to maintain the beauty without gaps!
The scale position of the upper layer adopts satin frosting technology to highlight the exquisite scale line. Each scale nail and pointer is made of platinum plating technology. The pure silver-white luster of platinum makes the time scale not only resistant to corrosion and oxidation, but also shows the exquisite elegance of the moon phase time.

80-hour long kinetic energy automatic mechanical movement

The standard kinetic energy of watches such as Rolex, Omega, and Patek Philippe, which cost tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars, is only 40 hours. However, AGELOCER has achieved an amazing 80-hour power reserve through technological innovation, with a kinetic energy reserve 100% higher! The energy release of the watch spring with long kinetic energy is slower and more even, which can improve the accuracy and stability of the watch. The movement has a vibration frequency of 28,800 vibrations/time (4HZ), which controls the daily error of the movement within ±15 seconds.

Luxurious materials and fine polishing technology used in Swiss luxury watches

This is a luxury watch independently developed in China and the first one with a platinum-plated movement plate. It is equipped with 27 ruby ​​bearings and a gold-stamped engraved brand logo. The movement is exquisitely polished with circular Geneva patterns, fish scale patterns and chamfers, which is a polishing process only available on high-end watches costing more than $20,000.

Double-sided sapphire glass

In order to better appreciate the exquisite details of the watch, AGELOCER uses the same sapphire glass material as top luxury goods for both the watch mirror and the bottom cover. 6N (99.9999%) grade high-purity sapphire glass, the refractive index of ordinary glass is about 1.5, and the refractive index of sapphire glass reaches 1.76. Through optical principles, the light beam injected into the crystal is reflected 360° without dead angles on all cut surfaces. The sapphire with anti-glare treatment makes the watch clearer and more flawless.

The AGELOCER Moon Phase watch has a case size of 40mm, which is flexible in size and can fit small and large wrists. That’s why we use custom tooling technology to add extra padding. 316L stainless steel strap

316L stainless steel is the most commonly used material for high-end watches. It has the advantages of being beautiful, hard, and corrosion-resistant. After being manually polished by watchmakers, it is even brighter and more upscale, making it an ideal material for high-end watches.

All of our watch bands are designed with quick-release spring bars for easy removal and replacement without the need for additional tools. Simply push the pin to the unlocked position and hold it there, remove or insert the band into the lugs of your watch, and release. This user-friendly feature allows you to easily switch between different styles to suit your preferences and occasions.

High-end watch parts can only come from high-end machines. Each piece is made with great precision, with an error margin of only microns, but these are just watch parts.

Over 500 Hours of Crafting

After mechanical processing, the parts need to be delicately and exquisitely hand-polished. Each watch will be meticulously created by different watchmakers to create a decorative effect comparable to high-end jewelry, which is a level that no mechanical equipment can achieve.
