Cats are beautiful, so why is their furniture so ugly? Think about it. Carpet towers, rope poles and clunky shelves with large, awkward brackets.

That’s why we designed CATWALC®. So your cat can spring to the highest peak of your home all while elevating your design aesthetic.

We did it by making the shelves from bent plywood, doing away with unsightly brackets and finishing them in beautiful, wood grain veneers. Then we themed them in decorative shapes so each cluster forms an eye catching arrangement.

The result is a midcentury interior design piece that’s worthy of your cat.

Each reward includes one set of three shelves, and you’ll be able to choose between Clouds, Balloons, or Trophies after the campaign ends.

The cloud clusters create the illusion that your cat is looking down on you from the sky, like the fluffy gods they are.

The bunch of balloons were designed to look like they’ve escaped your grip and are drifting away, with your cat along for the ride. Note: Each balloon comes with its own leather string.

The largest platform in the set comes with its own antlers. A little tribute to the one trophy you’ll never quite win: your cat.

CATWALC was designed to look intentional on your wall, even when your cat isn’t using them. We wanted to create cat shelves people would genuinely want to live with.

The Clouds and Trophies are finished in white ash. While the Balloons are painted pale blue. Initially we plan to make each style in one color only. If we exceed our initial minimum order quantities, we can add stretch goals and introduce additional colors.

SCREWS & ANCHORS 

There are three screws on the vertical face of each shelf. They don’t need a wall stud as they’re secure enough in the drywall. That being said, anchoring them to a stud will add even more strength.

SCREW COVERS 

The screw covers are made from the same wood veneer as the shelves. They make the screws disappear so it looks as though the shelves are floating in place.

FELT PADS  

Each shelf comes with matching laser cut felt pads, that stick perfectly on top. If you want to use these shelves for something other than your cat (but I mean, why would you?) you can leave the felt off altogether.

WEIGHT BEARING CAPACITY 

We don’t cat-bodyshame. That’s why each shelf will easily support a 25lb (12kg) fur baby. This is thanks to the incredible strength of bent ply, the cantilevered design and the evenly spaced screws and anchors.

Bent plywood allows us to create a structure that is both strong and minimal.

The curved form distributes weight evenly across the surface, which means the shelves can support your cat without bulky brackets or visible supports. The shelf itself acts as the bracket.

The result is a clean, floating design that feels light in your space, but solid under your cat. Bent plywood is widely used in furniture design for this exact reason. Strength without visual weight.

Each shelf set comes with accessories that are tailored for the design.

In your box, you’ll find a set of THREE shelves in small, medium and large sizes, plus the following accessories:

• Screws, anchors, screw covers, felt pads
• Metallic strings (included with the Balloons only)
• Antlers (included with the Trophies only)

Installing them is much like hanging a picture. We recommend you mark out their position first. Don’t forget to consider how your cat will get to the first step. For example, from a sofa, a credenza or even a mantel.
